Food Today, Cancer And Hunger Tomorrow

Genetically modified food using laboratory engineered organism, known as GMO is making its way into the human food chain. GMO biotechnology has been hailed by some scientists as the answer to the famines and hunger of the world. Is it truly the case or have we open a Pandora box that will lead us to the brink of major catastrophic nightmare and destruction?

A Man Made Disaster Waiting To Happen

Those who advocate GM (genetically modified) crops says it will help to solve global food shortage and  alleviate hunger as well as starvation in the third world.  Some of these genetically modified crops can withstand harsh weather such as drought.

On the contrary, GM has not help to solve yield problems (due to insects, soil erosion, weather and climate change, drought, pollution  ), in some cases, the yield is drastically reduce for instance GM soy.
Did you know that it takes twice the amount of acres of land to grow genetically engineered soy versus its natural counterpart?

Some of these genetically engineered crops and plants can tolerate prolong exposure to highly toxic and dangerous herbicides and pesticides without impacting its growth. Farmers are encouraged to use more and more of cheaper and dangerous chemicals to control weeds and insects since it will not affect these modified crops.

It all seems good for the consumer but wait till you realize what side effects and known risk those companies responsible for GMO are intentionally hiding from you. First thing first, these crops and plants contains highly toxic ingredients in its genetic structures. Studies has indicated that animals exposed to these herbicide and pesticide resistant crops develops cancer!

Not much is disclosed by major corporations involved in this industry  (one of the more well known company that research and supply GMO crop is Monsanto.)

China is one of the proponent of this biotechnology and it has practically go all out to support GMO industries. It is a disaster waiting to happen given the fact that not much is known about the long term side effects of consuming these man made crops.  The side effects on animals were brush off as insignificant and ax well as for the fact that this is big industry with lots of money to make.
