How Do You Know If CoQ10 Works?

How do you know whether a vitamin supplement is effective and work as claimed? Normally the efficacy and effectiveness of any vitamin or mineral supplements are based on controlled studies of volunteers or subjects across a period of time.

Patients or subjects under observations are usually divided into 2 or more groups with some groups being administered with nothing more than just sugar or harmless ingredients coated pills minus the supplements under study. The placebo effect is taken into consideration and in most cases subjects are told they are given experimental drugs or supplements to treat specific diseases even though it may not be the case as it is with placebo studies.

As often the case, medical experts and doctors knows for a fact that having a positive outlook and positive mindset has great impact on helping the body to recover from illness. Even without medication, the body ability to heal is boosted by patient mental affirmation of healing. This is part and parcel of the placebo effect whereby it is believed that our conscious and positive mental state has profound effect on hormone balance, stress and even downright to the DNA function.

Is there any other way to figure out the efficacy and effectiveness of vitamin or mineral supplements works without having to deal with placebo effects? Well, there is certainly a way to determine by administering it to your pet and observe how it goes. I am not advocating drug experiments with animals but rather observe your pet's health progress with medications administered by the veterinary doctor.

What can I say about Co-enzyme 10 or CoQ10 supplement? Does it work? You bet and I am strongly convinced that CoQ10 is one of the most important discovery of the 20th century. This enzyme is naturally found in may cells of the body and it helps to strengthen the heart and improve overall health.

The production of this enzyme decreases as we aged and in deficiency of this important compound may disrupt the metabolic function of cells and result in health deterioration. My pet dog Muffin is over 15 years old and at one point of time he almost died. After taking CoQ10 and some other vitamin supplements, Muffin health was restored and he is now pretty much considered very healthy for a dog of his age.

In summary, if your aging pet animal in particular the health of your pet dog improved with intake of certain vitamins or health supplements then chances are that they are living proof that you should likewise take it (of course with doctor's recommendation).

You have got nothing to lose anyway, if it works for my 15 year pet dog, it would certainly works for we humans I guess. You can't go wrong with intake of CoQ10. It is one of the most important anti-aging compound that your body needs to maintain health as you aged.
