Beijing pollution control

The Chinese government ability to reduce the air and water pollution by as much as over 30 percent or more over in Beijing just couple of weeks prior to the Olympic 2008 event has drawn the attention of world wide international environmentalist, health and pollution control experts. No government in this world is able to pull off such incredible pollution control feat, with the exception of the Chinese government iron fist controlling machinery. Hundreds of factories in around and nearby Beijing vicinity that does not meet the required pollution safety standard were ordered to close down immediately. The Chinese government goes to the extra mile to reduce pollution in Beijing during the Olympic event by controlling and reducing the number of cars plying its roads.

Athletes over the world that participated in the Beijing Olympic event described clear blue skies and admit their unfounded worries and concerns about health due to the poor air quality once they touch down in Beijing. Let’s hope the Chinese government will continue to keep up with the good work of reducing environmental pollution now that the Olympic is over.
